A short description of this regulations

Description of DIN 6868-57

In imaging devices, every individual component can limit or reduce the image quality of the system. If image display devices and image documentation systems are correctly adjusted and maintained, the devices should generate constantly similar images.

The acceptance test according to DIN6868-57 describes that its results can be influenced only by changes of the parameters to be examined. Simple test equipment is used (luminance meter, test images) which are appropriate in their precision for the test purpose. However, it is important that all significant setting values of the imaging device and its accessories are recorded in each test performed. This should ensure that the same devices, accessories and setting values are used in the constancy tests.
