Throw the germ blower out of the OR!

Commonly a high potential source of germs remains unconsidered in scientific researchs about hygienic standards in hospitals: The PC.

The poor surface characteristics of conventional PC systems, monitors, and embedded systems and especially the ventilation practice of these devices makes it easy for germs and bacteria to settle in. Ventilation fans blow germ-bearing dust through the entire OR. Colonies of infectuous germs form in ventilation slots and filters.

Also conventional keyboards and mouses can still be found in ORs too often, although they are unjustifyable from a hygienic point of view. Almost all conventional PC systems, monitors, and accessories are not built to be disinfected because they are neither resistant towards claening agents nor cleanable at all in every edge and angle.

For quite a long time already the VIEWMEDIC VARIO CONCEPT and the compatible input devices by Medigenic provide practically suitable solutions for this problem which is often kept secret.

The VARIO CONCEPT offers many interesting variations in only one product line. All  VARIOs are completely IP65-protected, thus resistant against intrusion of dust and  splash water. This is made possible by the completely fanless cooling of the devices.

The ideal shape of the housing as well as its germ-killing varnish allow an easy and quick disinfection.

For your security and the security of your patients the qualification of our VARIO products for medically sensitive areas is confirmed by a hygienic report and the inspection according to EN60601-1 and EN60601-1-2.

Since one month the new mammo display of TOTOKU is available:
The ME 551i2 provides many useful features.

The new ME 551i2 offers new technologies to display the fine structures of the breast tissue better than available displays so far. It meets the guidelines of PAS1054 today.

The diagonal of 21.3" over 5 million pixel (resolution 2560 x 2048 or 2048x 2560) assure finest pictures. The integrated look-up-table offers a 11.9 bit gray palette, thus 3826 scales of gray. From these 3826, 2048 grayscales will be arranged into a harmonic curve through the calibration of the device. The TOTOKU ME 551i2 as well as all the other "i-models" now also include the integrated brightness stabilization-system "Lambda-Sentinel-II".

This TOTOKU-developed circuit will automatically see to a continued good picture quality. The newest feature is the "display accuracy control". This function ensures an especially even distribution of brightness across the whole screen, including the outer edges.

With the help of this function monitors will be adjusted to best uniformity by the manufacturer. Because of this the device conforms today to the standards of tomorrow, in which the evenly distributed brightness will play center stage.
